ONAS (The
National Sanitation Utility) is a public entity of an industrial and
commercial character. It was established in 1974 and entrusted with
the management of the sanitation sector (sewerage network).
In
1993, ONAS experienced a major change. Indeed, from a manager of the
sewerage network, it became the main operator in matter of protection
of the water environment and combating pollution sources according to
a clearly-outlined strategy based on planning -in terms of
methodology- and geared to sustainable development -in terms of
ultimate objective..
