Go back to foundation: 28-10-1960the gymnastics, a very difficult sport which was the prerogative of the great nations and especially the Eastern European countries, became a very powerful sport in our regions, with the image of the success of its leader Wajdi Bouallègue, champion of Africa and one of best the gymnastes worldwide, currently. The prospects are, apparently, very encouraging what forecasts of a bright future for this discipline at the immense horizons. All these subjects were discussed with the DTN Walid Chérif which threw a glance informed on the present and the future of the Tunisian gymnastics. The quantified balance-sheet is rather satisfactory. Wajdi Bouallègue did not cease improving in the stages of the World cup. It was 4th in Moscow, 3rd in Stuttgart and 2nd in Glasgow, an impressive rise among best the gymnastes of the world. This tendency was confirmed lately with the championships of Africa to the Cape, in South Africa where our gymnaste gained 4 gold medals, one into individual which enabled him to gain the championship of Africa, one with the floor exercises, one with the table of jump and one with the parallel barses. It enriched the prize list by its participation by 3 bronze medals, one by teams, one with the rings and one with the pommel horse. |
